Where we came from
capitalcreative emerged out of the industry requirement for multidisciplinary, collaborative and engaging professional services for large scale projects on the African continent.
With the previous experience of the core team having both partnership and director positions in large scale firms, IAD in Spain and Louis Karol in South Africa, we were well placed to provide the depth of service required whilst pivoting productively to a more engaging and dynamic agency offering.

How we work
The team works remotely from Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa and Madrid, Spain, in a virtualized version of the traditional studio environment. Communication is key and collaborative platforms promote both flexibility of process and effective collaboration with broader team members and consultant partners.

Rafael Sa
Director & Principal Architect
Trained as an Architect in the early nineties in Canada and Portugal, Rafael’s main professional focus has been large scale architectural design and fast-track construction supervision of award-winning museums, airports, stadiums, universities, and other civic and private buildings throughout North and South America, Europe.
The decision to relocate to South Africa in 2015 brought with it an opportunity to collaborate with likeminded, enthusiastic entrepreneurs and share in a wealth of experience.
Jessica White
Head of Design
Trained as an Interior Designer in Cape Town, South Africa in the late nineties and delved directly into the commercial world of design and development. Career design has focused on hospitality and commercial design, with works primarily in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.
‘Growing up’ as an Interior Designer in a commercial architectural firm has resulted in an understanding and respect for both disciplines and forms the basis for cohesive design and development.
